Poly Phoenix potable water treatment plant in a 12.0 metre container.
Poly Phoenix developed a larger potable water plant that can convert raw river or dam water into World health organisation standard drinking water at up to 36 cubic meters (36 000 litres) per hour. The Aquapak 12.0 can produce up to 800 000 litres of drinking water a day from a raw water source that has less than 100 NTU turbidity and total dissolved solids of less than 500 ppm.
The unit can supply sufficient water for a community of up to 6000 people at 100 litres/person/day. The unit has a complete chemical pre treatment before the Settlers to help the dirt to settle. The settled water is then pumped through dual media filters and clean water is produced out the other side. A secondary injection of chlorine kills bacteria, viruses and fungi in the water, rendering it safe to drink.
